About

I have a very standard life, there is really no need to go into details. Starting around my early high school years, my friend at the time showed me the new game series, UT2003. I really thought that game was cool, at the time those graphics were so intense.

Then UT2004 came around, and he let me borrow his copy. I started to play it more and more, started really liking Deathmatch and Assault Races. About a few months after I got into it, I was determined to make a map. I didn’t have any standards I just wanted it to work. That map that I first did was “Scorpion_RollaCosta” which never had an end, but it was my first jump into UT2004 mapping.

I started then to produce a pile of maps that had no point at all, and it was a free map where you could do stunts, etc. Those were popular, at the time running our server from a 500MHZ computer I had in my basement, hooked up to my roadrunner connection (with a crappy upload).

I started to really make more and more things, I eventually rolled out a 100% new version of Scorpion Coaster, which was not really related to the original except for the concept of it being wacky and difficult to make it to the end.

I then starting paying for a server from ReconGamer, which at the time has the best damn servers out there, period. We had a nice 12 man server, and I started to recruit people into our clan which at the time was PWE. Shortly after, I removed the E, because frankly three characters, wtf… We were then known as {PW} for Projectile Waffle Clan.

After about 8 months, I then convinced my parents to move over to a 4mbps bi-directional system, so I could literally upload at around 550KB/s, which for that time was unheard of for residential use. I then started to open more servers, and really got into that whole game. Creating more and more content, and also mixing existing mods out there for some of the best gameplay this side of the lake michigan.

Since I went to college in late 2005 my work has really slowed down, but as you can see around the internet, in those short 2 years I really got my name out there, of course some was intentional but people liked playing with my content. Hell, I make what people like… (Don’t hold me to that…)

To this day I have started back up PW, under the name of PWC (which it has been for 2-3 years now) and operate a giant for fun community which powers such important systems as Empires Mod Downloads & Bulletin Boards, Llama Punter Ban Manager Software, Empires Learning Centre Servers & Website, and more.

I plan to be around in the future because I have a very loving family, very stable job, and a passion for giving my services away to anyone and not expecting anything in return.

Heh, I miss the prime days of UT2K4. I spent most of my late teens playing it, and I say “spent” and not “wasted” because it really is my favourite game. I have painful nostalgia when I boot it up nowadays just too look around at the servers to see that pretty much all of them are empty, the hectic guns-blazing assault maps and trial maps were my favourite but now the servers are barren or have a ping of 999.

I used to make lots of maps too, and got my name out there a little – but I always changed my alias around to whatever I though was “cool” at the time. Anyways, there is no point to this comment – other than to say I hope you have a good day, and I appreciate all of the work you’ve put into UT2K4, cause Nachos and Beer, and the PWC server brought many hours of enjoyment :-)
